Leaving Phu Quoc early we catch the Superdong I to Ha Tien

After a couple of hours waiting around for visas to be sorted we finally arrive at the Ha Tien border and walkout of Vietnam :(

We are allowed out of Vietnam, and after a short wait in No Mans Land where huge casinos are under construction, we are stamped into Cambodia.

But are only allowed in after we pay the man in this hut $1 to take out temperatures and pronounce us fit and healthy

Another half hour or so on the bus before we arrive in kep...

...and are speeding through the streets in our first Cambodian Tuk Tuk

Vietnam - Last Post

Six weeks and one day in Vietnam and so many highlights

• Swimming in the sea in the middle of a storm in Phu Quoc, warm choppy water and waves breaking on you, rain pelting down hurting your skin and bouncing off the waves whilst looking out on angry stormy skies.
• Ha Long Bay
• Stunning views in Sapa
• Amazing people in HCMC (and staying up till sunrise)
• Swimming in rivers and caves in Phong Nha
• Conversations with insightful and wise people (person) that can articulate how you feel better than you can think it.
• Somehow ordering street food without speaking Vietnamese and ending up with the most delicious meal of the trip.
• Riding on the back of a motorbike through jungle roads and central highlands
• Sunrise on the Mekong & my last sunset in Vietnam.
• Laying on the beach after dark watching an electrical storm out to sea.
• Meeting the right people at the right time. Having a travel low, then walking into a cafe and starting a conversation with someone who happens to be in a similar low and both of you walking out with a smile on your face and plans to meet later in the trip. And realising if you don't have the lows you don't notice the highs.
• Happy smiling faces and children always waving as you pass.

The Spider Family...

After too much cheap Vietnamese beer and a incident with a waiter and murdered spider. The Spider Family series was started.

When I first saw this dog in the distance I thought it was a small cow. (I think the sun was getting to me) hence her puppies became know as Cogs.

Ther is a 'Phu Quoc Dog' which is apparently one of the worlds rarest ridge back breads and we saw lots running around the beaches.

The Mekong Delta

We hired a small row boat with guide (who didn't speak English) to explore the Mekong from Can Tho.

He provided breakfast which consisted of the smallest bananas I have ever eaten and a baguette. Luckily there were a lot of bananas and they were delicious

Can Tho

Can Tho is on the Mekong Delta and roughly half way between HCMC and Rach Gia which is the harbour where you can get the boat to Phu Quoc.

Initially we thought it was a party town but then we realises that the Vietnamese were celebrating Independence Day.
