Jaipur - The Pink City

The view upto the Amber Fort
I had mixed feelings about the 100 or so working elephants ferrying tourists up the short hill to the fort. Elephants have a long history of working India and are really respected as a sacred animal. The only work till 11am and do a maximum of four trips up the hill a day and seem happy and healthy. I was absolutely mesmerised by them and stood for ages watching them deposit their tourists.
